Cloud Cult is an experimental chamber rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a passion for exploring ideas of the Now and the Here-After with its listeners. Described by Pitchfork, as "insane genius" and ranked as one of the Top 10 "Green Bands" on the planet by Rolling Stone Magazine, Cloud Cult has its own environmental recording company, Earthology Records, which co-developed the now popular recycled paperboard CD cases. In addition to their eco-friendly practices, Cloud Cult has also become known for its philosophical lyrics and eclectic art-indie-rock music. Their show features two live painters whose art is auctioned off at the end of the night and a full band complete with violin, cello, trumpet, trombone, French horn, guitars and percussion.
