History
In August 1994, the Spencer School District received a bequest from the estate of Mrs. LuCille V. Tack, a life-long resident of the Village of Spencer, to construct a fine arts center... so the children could expand their horizons. With tremendous community interest, this theatre was built adjacent to the High School (1996) and features comfortable seating for 501, excellent acoustics and an ample stage. A local, non-profit community arts organization was established... "To provide an environment that encourages a variety of opportunities to enlighten, enrich and develop artistic growth for community members of all ages." The LuCille Tack Center for the Arts has become a cultural treasure for rural, central Wisconsin. Each performance season brings an eclectic mix of high quality cultural events, family entertainment and educational programs. From national and international performing artists, to amazing talent found right in our own back yard, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The success of the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts is attributed not only to LuCille's vision, but also the passion, talents and financial support of countless individuals and businesses in our greater community.
We look forward to seeing you at curtain time!
